Certified Nurse Midwife
Join a practice where the art and heart of midwifery is supported and cherished. The Birth Center (TBC) has an immediate opening for a full-time CNM. TBC has been in operation since 1980and was the first licensed freestanding birth center in Pennsylvania. We are fiscally sound and have celebrated over 6000 births, at our freestanding birth center and transferring hospital across the street. Our c-section rate averages 10%. We do an average of 35 births/month with a midwifery staff of 5.5 FTE (7 midwives). The Birth Center is accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC).
As a CNM at TBC you will have a great deal of professional autonomy and the opportunity to provide full scope midwifery care in a true midwifery model. From Administrative to Clinical staff we have a close, nurturing, caring practice.

TBC is located in a beautiful suburb of Philadelphia within easy commute to major universities and cultural attractions. The Bryn Mawr Hospital, a tertiary care center with a level III NICU, serves as our transfer facility, and our midwives have privileges there.
